Leadership Development

Leadership Forum

Since 2017, the Senior Executive Leadership Forum (SELF) and the Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) have developed associates across RNDC. In 2024, these groups merged to form the Leadership Forum, a program designed to accelerate participants' growth and impact.

Leadership Training

In 2024, our featured course was Networking for Enhanced Collaboration which taught key skills to improve networking by connecting with others for information and support, building new relationships, & building skills in a diverse network.

Talent Acceleration Programs

In our third year partnering with Jackson Family Wines (Accelerate), RNDC offers a three-phase sales training and education program comprised of on-the-job training, a series of six customized development sessions and regular meetups with the group and their coach.

Sales Training & Development

Sales Academy & Refreshers: Teaches sales fundamentals, emphasizing Pre-Planning/Buyer Relationships, Account Management and The Selling Process. Plus, SMART goal development and the importance of continuous feedback.
Coaching Refreshers & New Manager Training: Designed to enhance employee retention and performance by teaching leaders effective feedback and development goal-setting strategies.
Development Days: Focuses on skill-building and requires dedicated 1:1 time between managers and associates, emphasizing critical job skills development and goal setting, using the feedback module in myHR.

RNDC Education Initiatives

Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET): For more than 16 years, RNDC has partnered with the WSET to provide certification education in Wine and Spirit for our associates.

RNDC Graduate Level Associates: This is the highest-level wine and spirits training RNDC has to offer, for associates who want to pursue education credentials and show great passion for Fine Wine.

Talent & Industry Development

Mentoring Circles

The 2024 Mentoring Circles Program engaged 93 participants across eight circles, providing a rich and diverse learning experience. Notable keynote speakers addressed various topics related to professional and personal development.

Florida State University (FSU)

RNDC has been a long-time partner of the Dedman College of Hospitality Program at FSU. RNDC enriches the education at FSU by sponsoring the Beverage Certificate Program which students attain by completing the required courses. We attend all Career Fair Expos throughout the academic school year. The students can interact with the brands RNDC represents in the Florida market. We connect students to our wine and spirits brands by highlighting the positive impact RNDC and our Supplier Partners make in our communities through corporate programs like "Legacy in the Bottle" and "Do Blue".

University of Texas (UT Austin)

UT Austin TUSO (Texas Undergraduate Sales Organization) is a student led program for students in the McCombs School of Business. As a sponsor, RNDC gets first exposure to the new students that enroll in the program each semester, dedicated career fairs, and time for in class presentations to educate on selling techniques and industry overviews.

Accelerating the Next Generation of Women Leaders

We are dedicated to developing the next generation of women leaders. One way we do so is by leveraging our strategic partnerships with Women of the Vine and Spirits (WOTVS) and Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA).

Women of the Vine and Spirits (WOTVS)

RNDC is a corporate member of WOTVS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and advancing women in the beverage alcohol industry. RNDC’s involvement with the organization helps foster an environment that promotes the advancement of women leaders in our industry.

WSWA: Women Leadership Conference

The WSWA and WLC Advisory Board developed the industry-known leadership development conference with a focus on building a personal brand and elevating women across the wholesale tier. Several RNDC women leaders were sponsored to maximize networking opportunities and advance careers.

Operations Warehouse Optimization

The OCI (Optimization Continuous Improvement) team focuses on establishing best in class processes in all warehouses. The program pillars are Performance Boards, Active Leadership, and Gemba Walks.

Performance boards build on existing practices leading to sustainable routines for warehouse leadership.
Active leadership involves scheduled performance conversations between supervisors and associates. This regular feedback leads to improved performance, culture, teamwork, and personal development while also improving customer service levels at lower costs.

The OCI team trains supervisors and provides an opportunity list to maintain continuous improvement. Above all, the program empowers our teams through visibility of targets to capture value and growth, ultimately leading to a high level of customer satisfaction.
